I am a Kilt Maker with years of experience and a Scottish Qualification Certificate in KiltMaking.
If you need your Beloved Kilt to be altered, you should look for a Kiltmaker.
The knowledge of how the Kilts are made is necessary to carry on any repairs.
Not every alteration shop will have experience in the field.
Please, contact me with your request and I will try to provide you with information about what would need to be done and what would be the estimated price.
Every repair is going to be individual. In many cases, I would have to see the Kilt to be able to decide how to carry on the repair/ alteration.
Sometimes there is enough fabric in the Kilt to make it bigger.
Sometimes moving the buckles will be enough to achieve a better fit.
Sometimes full remake is needed.
I am in Livingston, West Lothian. You can see me in my workshop if you are local, or simply send the Kilt to my address.

Agnieszka altered my kilt to expand it. She did a fantastic job of dismantling the kilt, amending it, re-lining it, and putting it all back together.
